Dear all
I am simulating the transient flow situation with transient DPM. For that I am defining the injection which starts at 1.675516 sec and ends at 1.80118 sec. 10 nos. of particles are injected after 0.001 sec of time, i.e, total particles injected during the whole flow situation is ((1.80118-1.675516)/0.001)*10=1260.
In order to check the particle distribution on the wall of the pipe I create the sample file, which is attached herewith. But in that file in the last column, where the injection name came it shows some higher values starting from 1020-5039??My question is that how
1. Fluent will give the name for all those injection?
2. What is the meaning of time in the time column listed in the sample file? If I wants to calculate the time taken for one particle to cross the wall, how I should do?
3. What about the fate of all those particles starting from 1-1219?
Please help me in this reagard.

Why does Fluent inject only 10 particles per timestep?

I define the injection using a file, there I have used to set the no. of particles per time step to be 10.

During time steps (or right at the beginning of one), does Fluent show something like "10 particles injected" in its terminal?

yes, it shows that 10 particles are injected after each time step of 0.001sec
