Hi

I am trying to simulate urban area (uniform rows and columns of cubes) using fluent.

I have used Boussinesq approximation for density specification and Im just confused about the operating conditions, such as operating temperature and pressure. or even if its necessary to specify an operating density.
What I understand from the user guide is that these specifications are mostly significant when using ideal-gas law.

I would appreciate if anyone has any suggestion or explanation.

Cheers

It's not so important. But if the gravity has any effect, enable it and also specify the origin of the operating pressure (mostly used in free channel flows). Density is just in ideal gas law.

Thanks for your respond.

I just have one more question.
Im using solar load and running the case for each hour of day. I have periodic boundary condition that I specify the bulk stream temperature and mass flow rate in there.

Do you think I should put the operating temperature same as bulk stream temperature in each hour?

Cheers
