Material Properties for Biomass Combustion

Hi all!

I'm quite new to combustion modelling and after a search through data for biomass properties I have been stuck with the following issues:

1. Most data seems to be bulk density (~400kg/m3), Fluent needs specific density doesn't it (i assume which would be in the 1000kg/m3 range)?

2. Do i assume that latent heat is zero for a combustion case?

3. How do I determine stoichiometric ratio?

4. Can I assume heat of reaction for burnout to be the same as that for coal?

Thanks so much for any help anyone can give!

I'm not familiar with Biomass simulations, you may want to go to www.ansysforum.com, they have some experienced members that might be able to help you out.

Good luck
