Hi,
In conjugate heat transfer simulation (of heat transfer from hot tube to the flowing coolant) using FLUENT, is there any guideline to set back flow temperature at pressure outlet BC? Because, I saw some times if I increase the back flow temperature, the maximum temperature rise near the wall of the outlet is also increased, with divergence in some other cases. Thanks in advance for your endeavor. Regards Murad |

hi,i understand that your result is extensively dependent to temperature outlet.
do you want to know how to set the temperature outlet in the PRESSURE OUTLET BC in fluent?? if yes you can easily adjust it in in PRESSURE OUTLET BC: define...>boundary conditions...>type: pressure outlet...>thermal(beside momentum) dont forget to do this after solution is converged:report...>referance value...>compute from... |

define...>boundary conditions...>type: pressure outlet...>thermal...>Momentum, because I am following the same procedure all times at Pressure outlet boundary condition. But I didn't understand this portion of your answer: dont forget to do this after solution is converged:report...>reference value...>compute from... Did you said to put the back flow temperature after convergence? Regards Last edited by n7310889; August 22, 2012 at 01:20. |
