Default species deposition or wall reaction ?

Hi,

I want to model a species deposition problem. A fluid carries species A along a wall. Species A deposits/is adsorbed/reacts at the wall. The deposition/adsorption/reaction rate is modelled like 1st order reaction.

It seems that there are different options:

1) species transport + surface chemistry;

QUESTIONS:

Do I have to define both A(site) and A(solid) with

a reaction scheme like

A(solution) --> A(site)

A(site) --> A(solid)

or

Can I define only A(site) with

a reaction scheme like

A(solution) --> A(site) ?

What would be the site dednsity ?

Would the reaction be like

Obviously I did not find the surface chemistry

tutorial very helpful.

2) UDS + UDE flux at the wall;

QUESTIONS:

Should I use DEFINE_PROFILE, returning

flux = -k F_UDSI(f,t,i) and

read it in the wall BC's (flux) for the UDS

3) define a volume sink close to the wall.

Thanks

I have the same problem and I am trying to implement the second option.

I get negative species fraction (UDS value) at the wall. Any suggestion?
