how to calculate the reversed volume flow rate in an certain iso-surface?

Hi everybody,

I'm doing some simulations on a swirling pipe flow. Now I am interested in the internal recirculation zone and want to compute the reversed volume flow rate in certain iso-surface. I know how to use the "Report" to calculate the total volume flow but what I need is the negetive (reversed) volume flow rate. So could anybody help me deal with this problem?

Thank you so much.

Hi,

I don't get why you are interested in reversed flow on any internal surface. But for that, I think you can report velocity scalars on the iso-surface. By using excel, you can separate negative and positive values and then do calculation what you need.
