Eulerian dense phase and report flux problem -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

htnyc New Member Join Date: Jul 2012 Posts: 6 Rep Power: 13	Hi , I have a few questions regarding multiphase eulerian with dpm simulation using transient. 1) is it normal to for simulation to take 12hours for simulation of60 seconds? I find that if increase time step size, there will be spikes in residual. So I had to keep it at a low value of 0.01. How else can I reduce the simulation time? 2) I am trying to figure out why my flux report for mass flowratr of phase2(discretephase) is showing 0 for inlet, however the monitor shows particle are being injected. Please I hope to get some hints, if not I will have to carry out this simulation again.thanks
