I am modelling a simple case in 3D-A room with multiple stacks in it. The geometry of the room is 5x3x7 and stacks are of 0.5X3X7. The inlet of the air flowing in is at the top with rectangular cross section and outlet is at the bottom of the stacks with mesh like cross section. After meshing the fluid, when I try to open the file in Fluent , I am getting this error,

An error occurred in FLUENT when reading model information.
The model information may not be compatible with the mesh

Could someone suggest me what am I missing here?

Hi,

Which meshing software are you using?

Are you choosing the 3D option in the Fluent startup window?

Marion.

I am using Ansys 12 workbench. So, I guess the meshing software is Ansys Mesh and modelling software is Ansys Modellar. Yes, I am choosing 3D option while opening Fluent.

if you use different charecters in the name of surfaces and volumes like (ö,ğ,ü,#,ı) fluent may couldn't read your mesh data

hello
I tell you, I did the same and the problem is to define the shared topology: edge joint, automatic, imprint, none. according to the model you have to make is the use, research on this and will solve the problem.
