moving heat source

Hi,

Can fluent modeling a moving heat source on a surface using UDF fonction and how?.The heat source is a moving concentric cylindrical burner heating a solid surface. and I would like to watch the transient nature of the surrounding temperature profiles. Please help me. thanks to all

Yes, it is possible.

You need to use DEFINE_SOURCE in which you have to call physical time, which then utilize in your source term equation. This would be like transient BC.
