I'm working on a project that models the flow in a 2D room. I have my convergence criteria set to 1e-6 but the residuals have been following a similar pattern no matter how many iterations I do.
Should I just try more iterations until it straightens out or can I say that my solution has converged since it follows a pattern? |

I've done this before and it leveled are far before 8000 iterations and I'm not sure why it's doing this now and not before.

Hi Simon,
Your solution has not converged. Looks like additional iterations won't help here. What solution methods do you use? Maybe you should switch to 1st order for some iterations and then change it back to 2nd after it started to converge. Also this could be a hint, that your flow is unsteady. Can you show us your grid? |
