Hi,
Is it possible to initialize a simulation using the flowfield from another simulation (which is what I sometime do in CFX)? For example: for the same fluid domain and boundary conditions can I run a DES using a RANS calculated flowfield as the initial guess. Thanks |

Hi,
for different geometries you can use the "interpolate" feature in Fluent: File / interpolate... For the same geometry, I think it is even recommended to start with a RANS converged flow field before running LES. you just switch to LES and transient after your model has converged. Marion. |

I tried the interpolation method as well. But when I import my cfx results into Fluent to do the interpolation afterwards i receive a SIGSEV error.
Is there another way to use CFX results to initialize the flow field in fluent? |
