Hey Sarah,
I have the same problem as well. Could you please send me Email if you found any suggestion from people?

I want to change periodically some boundary conditions in an unsteady problem.
Thank you very much

Hi
Do you need to write a udf or journal file?
Journal files are written based on Scheme programming and their goal is to automate a series of Fluent commands (specially for running Fluent in Batch mode).
Udfs are written based on C programming and they are functions that you program to enhance Fluent capabilities. For example to define your own boundary conditions, material properties, source terms and etc.

Two samples are attached.
In the sample udf file transient flux for two absorbers and transient outdoor temperature has been defined.
In the sample journal file, Fluent settings for Lid Driven Cavity has been defined.
