how to use mixture model for nanofluids
Dear all,
I am trying to analyze nanofluids numerically using mixture model. In that secondary phase is not giving the option of using the solid as the material. How to overcome this problem. thanks in advance.
haha :)
Nanofluid does not mean to import solid nano particles. Nanofluid works just with fluid properties. First you should calculate fluid's new properties (because of nano particles effect on fluid properties) on a paper. Then input the new properties in the material properties.
i want to study the effect of particle size, hence i need to use the mixture model.

Need to use discrete phase model to be able to add the thermophoresis effect.
I am trying to do the same thing, but dont know how to introduce the nanoparticles as a discrete phase. Initially nanoparticles need to be dispersed within the base fluid. Any idea how to do it in FLUENT?

Did you able to solve the problem? I am trying to do the same thing, but still didn't able to manage this? If you solved this problem, could you shear your .cas file, how to setup mixture model in Fluent for nanofluid? Thanks in advance Goutam Saha Email: g.saha.1@research.gla.ac.uk

Dear All,
Could you tell me how to setup discrete phase model for nanofluid in Fluent?

DPM nanofluids
hi all please i try to use DPM for steady the motion of nanopparticles but i can t give the proporeties of the nanoparticles, there is a list for materials and i dont found my case please help me and thank you very much
