Hello, i´ve read that Fluent 14.5 has the ability to harness the gpu (Nvidia professional gpus) to perform calculations. However, in the user guide there is very little information about it. I wonder if anyone knows how to enable this feature?

Thanks in advance.

should definitely be in the solver help in the documentation or command line help. I do not use Fluent, but Ansys support should be able to help in relaying the capabilities and limitations of the GPU capability.

http://www.ansys.com/Products/Workfl...NSYS+HPC+Packs

"With ANSYS Fluent, view factors and ray-tracing (radiation) on GPUs are fully supported features, leading to dramatic reduction in computational time for these steps in the simulation. Users can write UDFs to take advantage of GPUs. "

So usage seems very limited.

GPUs can only be enabled using a HPC Pack, and then only support certain GPU cards.
From the ANSYS 14.5 Computing Platform Support Summary (check your support portal)

NVIDIA Tesla 20-series (1U) cards
NVIDIA Quadro 6000 card
NVIDIA Quadro K5000
NVIDIA Tesla K10 should be supported when available
NVIDIA Tesla K20 should be supported when available
NVIDIA Quadro K6000 should be supported when available
