Hello all,

I am trying to find the pressure drop in a simple rectangular duct with the top side as a porous media and exposed to atmosphere. I know the flow rate at the inlet and want to find the pressure at the outlet.

I finished meshing in Gambit and assigned the boundary condition as Porous jump in Gambit. But when i read the mesh in fluent, i cant see the boundary condition. hence i am unable to assign the permeability and thickness. Also I defined the rectangular duct as a fluid zone.In the fluid zone, i went to porous zone but still i was unable to do.

I know, i am doing something logically wrong. could you please help me?

thanking you
