Plz. Help Required : Drilling Simulation in ANSYS

Dear All

I am new on this forum and exactly don't know how to use this forum . I will be grateful to you people if you can solve my problem

I am working on my project of PVD ( physical vapour deposition) coated drill bits and comparing its different parameters with simple un-coated drill bits. The drilling will be perfome on Plain Carbon Steel ( 1045) on CNC Machining Centre and temperature will be measured with Infrared Thermometer Gun at various positions and inside holes of plain carbon steel plates.

I want to do Simulation of it on ANSYS software that how heat is distributed in the material during the drilling operation . Can you plz. tell me what parameters and values should I consider in order to have successful simulation ? What values or dimensions that I can get from this simulation ? And finally how to perform this simulation ?

Will be highly grateful for any help and suggestion in this regard

Thanks in Advance

Aqsa

Deform 3-D software is available. used to do machining simulations. that might be helpful.
