Hi !
I need a piece of advice from senior Fluent users. I am currently working on a aerodynamic project: I have to simulate the flow around an aircraft on all its flight envelope. This aircraft has to climb very quickly from low to high altitude (same for the descent). I already did some simulations with steady boundary conditions and I was wondering if it was possible to define my own. I would like to define by myself the evolution of pressure and temperature all along the simulation (corresponding to the quick variations of altitude). I checked the Fluent userguide available online and found an intersting section: "Custom field functions". Is that a tool I can use? What do you recommand? B. |

You can use "DEFINE_PROFILE" UDF, Costum define functions, and Boundray Profiles.
Depending on what you have at present. |

I read the Fluent userguide about those tools but wasn't able to create function or profile. Do you have a method you could explain me to include P(Z) (Static pressure in function of altitude) as variable condition ?
