incompressible floe
hi,
i am doing my performance study on aircraft oil filter. the study on the pressure drop conditions across the filter. the are 8 inlets and one outlet. its a circumferencial inlet towards axis (out to in) and one outlet in the top axially. its a 3d analysis. Flow : - Incompressible, because no density change. - No energy equation, no heat transfer. Known boundary conditions: inlet : pressure - 10 bar flow rate - 20 lpm outlet : flow rate - 20 lpm Step 1 : The pressure drop study without filter element. experimental results - 0.1 bar pressure drop. Step 2 : The pressure drop study with filter element. experimental results - 0.7 bar pressure drop. the results of simulation are not even closer using various boundary combinations. suggest whether my assumptions are correct. am gettin answers in negative values. |
