delaneyluke is on a distinguished road
I have 2 pipes connected by an expander (diffuser). I have the pressure pulse vs time graph at the inlet.
I set up my case as follows
Inlet mass flow (Mass flow v/s time curve.. calculated from pressure v/s time curve)
Outflow at outlet
Constant density
Unsteady segregated solver

I need to determine the pressure v/s time curve at the outlet.

Is my case set up correct to meet my requirement.

The reason I ask is cos although I see a 30-32% decrease in pressure amplitude, I also see a 40% decrease in the case without the expander which is counter intuitive.

Thanks
Luke
