Non-premixed Combustion Error: Flamelet Extinguished

Hi,
I am modelling jet reaction using non-premixed combustion model with steady flamelet chemistry.
After importing CHEMKIN mechanism and thermodynamic database files, I fail to calculate flamelets.
FLUENT exits and reports the error "Single flamelet extinguished Try again with lower Scalar Dissipation". I try lowering the scalar dissipation but it doesn't work. I feel it is something related to my reaction mechanism but I cannot point out exactly what the problem is. Does anyone have any idea?
Thank you,
Jenny

Hi,

I imported n-heptance chemkin mechanism file and thermodynamic data file and got the same error "Single Flamelet extinguished. Try again with lower Scalar Dissipation".

I increased the oxidizer temperature from 300 to 600K and then it generated flamelets. But I doubt that is the solution to the problem.

Did you manage to get the solution for this problem?

Should I enable 'Liquid Micro Mixing' as n-heptane is used?

Hi Juzer,
I still cannot figure out why those errors.
My reaction is a simple 1-step liquid chemical reaction. When I turn on liquid reaction, I am able to calculate the flamelet.
Hope this helps,
Jenny
