Reference zone in Fluent

Hello,

I have two zones in Fluent. Say zone 1 and zone 2. I want to monitor absolute velocity at a point in zone 1. I'm confused of which zone to select as the reference zone.

What if I don't select any zone under reference zone in reference values dialog box, and while initializing the solution, I select absolute reference frame. Will I get absolute velocity at that point?

Thank You.

will you please elaborate the geometry??
how zone 1 is linked up with 2?
side by side or up and down?
