improving continuity residual in a DPM model

Hello everyone
I'm working on a particle injected through a contracted tube case, so I use the DPM model with a maximum time step equal to 100,000 and a time step size equal to 1 and that is, it appears incomplete = 0. The problem is that the accuracy is low and the residual continuity cannot be less than 10-2. I tried then to adapt each time the velocity gradient but I do not know if it was the particle velocity or the fluid velocity, otherwise I do not know what to do to improve the accuracy of my case and well simulate the trajectory of the particle.
I would be very grateful if there is ideas to help me thank you.:)
