Natural/Free Convection over flat plate

Hello everyone,
I need help solving a problem on fluent. Free convection over a vertical flat plate with non uniform heat flux Initially i'm doing it for constant heat flux..All done using ansys fluent 1.Geometry:rectangle-0.3m by 1m 2.Mapped mesh:3000 cells 3.Boundary conditions: plate-1000w/m2,(on the left) top- pressure outlet ,0 gauge pr..temp 300k bottom- pressure inlet ,0 gauge pr..temp 300k far-symmetry(on right) I`ve got the temperture contour ,which looks ok:confused:..but im unable to get the correct velocity profile on the chart:( location of line for velocity profile-(0.001,1) (0.001,1) X axis-velocity u Y axis-Y.. please help.. Hi, I think the problem is that you didn't define the properties of airs.
In natural convection, the density should be defined boussinesq approximation, and also don't forget edit Thermal Expansion Coefficient. |
