Hello

I am simulating a gas-solid flow in a fluidized bed with Eulerian-Eulerian mixture model. I hope the particles are set at the bottom of the verticle flow field in initiation, but do not know how to do that. I just know how to set the volume ratio of the 2 phases, then the solid partcles are distributed in the whole region evenly.

Thank you in advance!

Hi, dude.
I am doing similar problem. I am not sure if you handle your problem.
You can use Adapt and Patch to initialize. The details you want are introduced in Tutorial, I think it's about Eulerian model and heat transfer.

Besides, I do fixed-bed simulation, but the results are of divergence, I still don't know why. And a friend of mine whose name is Chetan is giving me aome advice.

I do not know what is going on with your problem now.

Expect contact with you.

Hi Friend

I think Patch is the right way to solve it. And I tried Star ccm with User field function to define the initial distribution, with the language in Starccm called Syntax.
I am also new with simulation, You may tried to modify the parameters that are limited during iterations.
We can keep in touch.

I am really happy to have the opportunity to communicate with you.

I have not involved in User Filed Function. I think when I finish undergraduate thesis, I can have plenty of time to study.

I frequently use the e-mail whose id is liufengustb@hotmail.com

You could send me to your e-mail into my e-mail.

Best regards
