Hello everyone, iam ganesh iam doing a fluent simulation to show the temperature, velocity and pressure contours in pulse detonation engine. I have created a 2d structure mesh in ICEM. I used the following density based, transient, model k-e and realizable, species tranport-volumetric-inlet diffusion, methane and air mixture. The boundary conditions are mass flow inlet and pressure outlet. Iam a beginner to fluent i dont know how to patch a high temperature zone so that detonation can be initiated can anyone please help me??
The initial conditions are 1.57bar and 326K. I have read some threads regarding the detonation in this forum but still i dont get how to patch a high temperature zone so that detonation will be initiated. |

you should adapt a region, and patch a high temperature and pressure to this region after initialization.
