chmurillor is on a distinguished road
Dear all,

I have a problem that I can't figure out. I am modeling a gas injection at high pressure that is going to get into a vessel.

At first, the vessel is full gas with velocity 0 (Low turbulence). Later, the gas gets into the vessel and the gas flow inside the vessel starts to develop.

I think that during the gas injection, the turbulent kinetic energy must increase. After this process, it must start to reduce.

I have modeled the injection with a DEFINE_PROFILE UDF that works but, I have not seen any variation of the KE inside the vessel.

The initial and final values for KE are the same. I have tried with the standard and hybrid initializations. Th

Please, tell me if you know the possible reasons for the constant value of this variable.

Some additonal info
Turbulence model: RSM
Inlet: Pressure inlet (Gauge pressure varies with time) Intensity: 8% Diam. Hid= 7cm
Outlet: Outlet vent (Gauge pressure = 0) Intensity: 8% Diam. Hid= 7cm
