some results with Kl-kw-w transition model

Transition model = K-Kl-omega
Reynolds number = 5e04
Turbulence Intensity = 0.4%
Time step is taken in such a way so that one cycle is modelled in 100 time steps.
Cylinder is modeled as moving zone and purpose of this study is to observe the effects of upstream wakes on boundary layer transition in downstream low pressure turbine rotor profile.

How long did it take to create that video? Must be hours, right?

Far June 12, 2013 03:46

Yes. Around 3.3 hours for one cycle.

diamondx June 12, 2013 08:32

it took me days for that video... more than 400 time steps, and the mesh is 1.2 million nodes

Far June 12, 2013 09:00

400 time steps! wow ;)
