some results with Kl-kw-w transition model
Transition model = K-Kl-omega
Reynolds number = 5e04 Turbulence Intensity = 0.4% Time step is taken in such a way so that one cycle is modelled in 100 time steps. Cylinder is modeled as moving zone and purpose of this study is to observe the effects of upstream wakes on boundary layer transition in downstream low pressure turbine rotor profile. http://imageshack.us/a/img17/3893/71091220.png http://imageshack.us/a/img856/6848/26828755.png http://imageshack.us/a/img829/2482/34627045.png http://imageshack.us/a/img89/3019/35305908.png http://imageshack.us/a/img594/8936/55917335.png http://imageshack.us/a/img59/9737/44163896.png http://imageshack.us/a/img12/9196/93140488.png http://imageshack.us/a/img14/5733/19016939.png http://imageshack.us/a/img854/5154/zerodju.png |
nice, very nice

i was testing cfd-post and i made this yesterday: http://youtu.be/ghl6WKlNWnA i don't know about the accuracy of the resultsbut cfd-post is really a powerful tool

How long did it take to create that video? Must be hours, right?
|
Yes. Around 3.3 hours for one cycle.
|
it took me days for that video... more than 400 time steps, and the mesh is 1.2 million nodes
|
400 time steps! wow ;)
