Hi everyone
im doing VIM simulation but i need to obtain numbers of some elements in the mesh. The mesh is unstructured and it is made with ICEM CFD. The boundary is wall type with ID=11 and it consist 32 2D wall elements.

PLS help

Hi,

Why do not you use ICEM itself to get the mesh element number at each part?
You can select the part there and then go to mesh info to check the number of mesh elements.

Tnx for reply.The problem appears after mesh is imported in FLUENT. It seems that there is difference between element numbers in ICEM and element numbers in FLUENT. If someone knows connection between numbers pls help.

Maybe going to Mesh --> Reorder --> Domain will solve your problem
