hi everyone
i try to solve solid liquid mixture flow with eulerian method in anuular pipe my primary phase is drilling mud with density 1300 solid phase is sand with diameter 3mm i know the average axial velocity and volume fraction,but i dont know the particle velocity!! is it enough that i just give volume fraction to solid phase or i must give the particle velocity too?? How can i find particle sediment thickness on pipe wall ?? (sediment bed thickness) thank's for any help |

i do it by this Assumption :
fluid inlet velocity = 7.5 volume fraction = 0.1 horizontal case inner wall rotation =61 rpm solid phase velocity = 0.5 number of mesh 2,600,000 countinuty converge up to 10e-05 in 600 iteration result = 2200 pa but it must be around 1176 please help me ,what cause this reason? by changing solid phase velocity can i make it right? |

Did you find the answer to your problem ?? i am also trying to simulate solid liquid slurry flow in pipes.. Are you using transient simulations ?? I am unable to get my simulation converged ??? I wonder if you could guide me in this..
