what is the difference in the solution methods between SIMPLE and COUPLED scheme? (i dont know what to choose so i use SIMPLE)
especially in DPM modle. thanks |

SIMPLE algorthim is used to deal with model of different flow regimes such as laminar and turbulent flow in same case . Coupled is used instead of segregated and solve equations simultaneously

SIMPLE solves velocity and pressure in separate steps while coupled solves both simultaneously. Generally coupled will converge in fewer iterations, but each iteration will take more time. Sometimes for problems that are very difficult to converge, the coupled solver can help.
