Turblence model in fluent
Hello friends. I want to simulate flow around 2D airfoil at low Reynolds number. The flow is considered as incompressible. I want to know a basic question about turbulence model.
Which model should I use in RANS, K-epsilon and k-w and Why? If I use one in place of other model where will be the difference in results or what will be the effect on accuracy of results? I will be thankful for suggestions.. |

If you still want to use the k-epsilon or k-w model, I think the most accurate would be the k-epsiolon enhanced wall treatment. Use the k-w model only in simulations with high Reynolds number, which is not your case. Anyway, use the Spalart-Allmaras model. I hope you find my suggestions useful. Best regards |
