Hi,
For a DES of a flat plate in a domain similar to that in: http://turbmodels.larc.nasa.gov/flatplate_val.html but in my case there's also an obstacle on the plate. Also my domain size is larger and in 3D, but periodic BC sorts out the spanwise sides. What would be the recommended DES boundary conditions where the image in the hyperlink shows symmetry and farfield Riemann BC? Symmetry should not be used in any DES (or LES) so will Fluent allow an outlet here so that any flow fluctuation can either exit or enter without any reflection or other constraint? Also can the same be used for the fafield Riemann BC? In my case the flow is incompressible so the Fluent pressure-farfield is not suitable as that is for compressible flow. Thanks. |
