Isn't cancel and stop is different?

In my opinion, cancel is to cancel the whole process and
stop is like a stop right where you are.

Ctrl + C (like the button in the picture) just stops your iterating process: you can resume it clicking on Calculate and it starts from the last iteration completed.

In order to cancel the data you have to put the CASE & DATA files in the bin

Is there any way, for transient calculation, to stop iterations of the current timestep and to resume at exactly that point? When I hit the "Cancel" button, fluent will stop the calculation, but when I then hit "Calculate" a new timestep begins instead of doing the iterations of the current one.

Hi,
If there is a way I never found it!
I just save the case and data files automatically. When I am debugging a model, I save them every time step so that I can start again from where I want.

Sounds like a no-brainer. Unfortunately, this did not come to my mind...

It doesn’t work for me, is there any way to stop calculation? (I need the results and I don’t want to end task in task manager).
