Species transport : how to model a contrast dye in blood

Hi everyone,

I am simulating blood flow through an artery with a stenosis and have so far seen there are recirculation zones downstream of the stenosis. On the experimental side, I also inject a dye into the blood and I thought I should see if there is any localized pooling of the dye in the area downstream of the stenosis.

I figured I need to use the species transport model in Fluent. But I have not completely understood what information I need in order to model this. can someone suggest how to go ahead ?

I think I will need the inlet concentration of the dye and the diffusion coefficient. I do not have much information about the outlet ( there is only 1 inlet and 1 outlet)

What properties of the species do I need ? and what boundary conditions should I be using ?

Any help would be great !!

Thanks in advance
