hi,

i am trying to simulate simple pipe flow with mass flow inlet boundary condition at inlet and pressure outlet at outlet.

when i check the mass weighted avg. static temperature at inlet and outlet, it is 850K and when i check mass weighted avg. total temperature at inlet and outlet it is still 850K. in case of mass weighted average velocity it is some where near 200m/s,so there should be difference between static and total temperature.

can someone suggest here what is going on? the problem setup maybe wrong, but when it shows velocity magnitude of about 200m/s,how can the static and the total temperature be same?

I think its refer to the fluid properties.
solve your problem twice:
1-with constant density
2-without constant density
you will be see the difference. in one of them contour of temperature is same but in other one is different.
