how to set initial scalar dissipation

can some one tell me how to set initial scalar dissipation in non-premixed combustion, steady flamelet. How could i know what is the value of my scalar dissipation? may i read it from previous non-premixed combustion calculation? and if not, how to calculate? And what is the proper value for maximum number of flamelet and scalar dissipation step?
Thank you veryvery much!!!!!!!!!!!:)

Have you got the answer? I am facing the same issue. I hope you've already solved it as already 5 years gone since you asked the question ! :)

I know that this is an old post. But I cant find any straightforward way of calculating the scalar dissipation rate. I am using propane/air for non-premixed combustion. Even though I have the stoichiometric mixture fraction, I cant find a way to use it to get X. There are some papers and explanations online but its a bit hard to understand.

I would appreciate any help!

thanks :)
