calculate mean velocity components in all cells after some time steps

Hello all,
I want to simulate a 3D wing, transient by Fluent 14.5. My question is that How can I save velocity components after some time steps?
actually, the aim is to calculate mean velocity components in all cells. Would anyone make any comment for this?

The data necessary to compute this is automatically saved in the .dat file associated with your simulation. You can set FLUENT to save a separate data file every N iterations - where N is a positive integer - Under Calculation Activities in your case setup.

However, if you're trying to compute mean velocity it sounds like you'd be better served doing a steady state study, which time averages the results by default.

Thank you for your response

actually, I need to compute mean velocity components in every N time steps, and it is better to consider steady state solution too. May you explain how do it?
Is it possible to compute mean values after every N time steps? I will need to save dat file after N time steps and it may be a lot of dat files. How can I compute mean values?

At that point you're essentially doing a steady state solution, so it's best to just perform the simulation as a steady state one.

You set up steady state studies in FLUENT by providing boundary & initial conditions that do not vary with time.
