nonuniform motion of hydrofoil

1 Attachment(s)
Dear all,

I am trying to make nonuniform vertical motion of hydrofoil.

So I think that there are two possible solution.

First idea is to use UDF.

however I think it is little bit difficult to code irregular motion.

The other idea is to use profile function.

After recording the velocity profile which I want to observe, I just read the profile.

however I am doubt above method is possible or not?

Because X,Y coordinates which I want to move are not fixed because I will use dynamic mesh.

so I am wondering it is possible to use profile or not?

Is there any one who can give me your good idea?

both profile and UDF are feasible
I think you can using a profile for motion of hydrofoil and zone around it and define stationary wall (in dynamic mesh setting) for both lower and upper wall.

please send me you geometry and profile.
I can help you in fluent setting for dynamic mesh.

Thanks for your help.

Could you let me know your e-mail address?
