Hi all,

I am working on a "vortex induced vibrations" model. Actually I have two beams which are vibrating beside each other in the X direction.

I am simulating this model in ansys fluent as a 2D model with :
-1 velocity inlet
-2 plates
-2 boundary layer called 'moving_fluid' (Hybrid meshing which is moving with my plate)
-1 enclosure called "fluid"

I have written a UDF for the dynamic meshing which is working perfectly for 1 plate and let the displacement of my beams on the X (longitudinal) direction with a stiffness 'k'

However as soon as I try to simulate my model with 2 plates, 2 different issues appear :

1/ If I let a space between my two 'moving_fluid' zones, it will be too small and the dynamic meshing cannot work for some velocities

2/ If I want to bond my 2 'Moving_fluid' zones and create a sliding mesh (look at the following picture), I have an overlapping issue which appears because I give the same name to two different entities..

I have no idea how I can resolve this issue. I want my two plates moving independently from each other but for the moment it is impossible..

I am stuck on that problem for 2 days now so I would really appreciate if somebody could help me with that. Is there any tutorial ?
