Hello,
I am new to Fluent, but I would like to run a simulation for 300, 500 and 1000 years and have no idea how to go about this as when I try to run this as transient the maximum time step it will allow is 1 second. Any suggestions would be more than appreciated!
Kind Regards!

What is it that you want to analyze or what is the problem you want to study?

Regards
Luke

It would be worth your while to look into using the adaptive time stepping method which can alter the size of the time step depending on whether you are getting significant gradients in the variables of interest (or something like this). This would reduce the time required to generate your solution as when things are happening slowly the time step would be large and when things are happening rapidly the time step would be reduced.

FYI: I can set a fixed time step to 100,000 seconds in Fluent in ANSYS version 14. I could probably set it higher if I wanted to.

In aerodynamics experiment, sometimes the wind tunnel is too small to place the real airplane, so people make a miniature model and keep the Reynolds and Mach number same as the real case, the flow around miniature model will have similarity as the real case. You can try the same method: shorten the flow time but keep the key dimensionless parameters unchanged.
