how to capture free surface cells?

Dear Colleagues,

I would be grateful is someone advise me how I can capture the free surface cells (cells on free surface).

I use VOF model in ANSYS Fluent and I need to set up thermal conditions for the free surface between two fluids.
As i understand, the free surface is the surface with 0,5 volume fraction value (of one of the fluids in the domain).
So, I made an attempt to capture iso-value of volume fraction between 0,4 and 0,6 but no cells are marked (adapt >iso-value...). However, I can capture the iso surface 0,5 (surface>iso-surface)which is in fact the free surface I am looking for. However, I cannot set up boundaries for this iso-surface 0,5 as it doesn't appear in the list of zones (boundary conditions) or in the zones to patch (solution initialization).

How could this be done?
I would be grateful for any suggestions!

The same problem occurred to me, and I am trying to solve this problem. Did you solve it?
