HI,
I want to use the Fluent to simulate the welding pool. The welding process is that: the welding arc heat the base metal(steel plate) to melt which will forming the welding pool. The course is showed as follows(welding fig.jpg):

In order to track the surface on the welding pool, I use the VOF model in the fluent. I set up two phases: the primary phase is ideal air, the second phase is the steel(with solidfication and melt model). The heat in the welding pool come from the heat flux in the interface between the air and steel plate from the welding arc which is showed as follows(heat flux interior.jpg):

I can track the interface, but how can i add the heat flux in the interior dynamic interface in the fluent?
As far as I know, the heat flux can only be added in a wall boundary condictions.
How can i add the heat flux to the interior dynamic interface in the fluent??
thanks.

Dear Sir,

I am facing totally the same problem with my welding simulation (Fluent, VOF).

Did you manage to overcome it?
I would be extremely grateful if you advise me anything in this regard.
