Hi,
My objective is to obtain the pressure drop and mixing index of a non-newtonian fluid through a pipe with some obstructions placed within the pipe. In order to develop the mixing index I want to mix two of the same fluid (so they are miscible) within the pipe. My first question is what model do I use to mix two fluids? I've been using multiphase mixture however I do not know if this is a good solution because it sometimes gives me errors for my pressure correction. Do I select species transport and or do I use both of these or do I use something else entirely. My second question which is somewhat related to the first - for my geometry I only have one body: how can I make two fluids flow through one inlet? Instead of simulating two of these fluids can I patch or inject the same fluid into my inlet and at the end of my simulation how can I look for the properties (velocity, pressure, flow, etc) of said patch/injection?
