How to import CAD models?

I created a CAD model with SolidEdge and i want to run a simulation on it with fluent 14.5. I can import the file and a green checkmark appears, but if i go to DM, it doesn´t show the model. If i click on generate, an error message appears:

Unable to start CAD system
Context: Attach Feature Import1

i tryed .asm .par .prt .model files, non of them worked, always the same error.

What i am doing wrong?

Hello NoobSaibot16,
when you click on Import Geometry, you can see the available formats: I suggest Parasolid because DesignModeler is made with this kind of code, but you can choose STEP as well (IGES or SAT also).
Usually you need an additional license to import geometry directly from a CAD: I'm not sure about SolidEdge, but from Solidworks and ProEngineer it's possibile to use this feature.

This message showing that you are unable to import the model because either you are not converting the model correctly or you don't have licence to read
Try
1.In solid model convert it into stp file and import to DESIGN modeller
