Suitability of FLUENT

Hi, I'm attempting to simulate a constant acceleration water entry of a cylinder using VOF, and is using FLUENT to solve the model. However, I have met with several obstacles, such as being unable to define a constant acceleration while allowing the rotation of the cylinder(6of). i.e. apply both 6dof UDF and SDOF properties UDF simultaneously.

I would like to ask if am I misinterpreting some functions of FLUENT, or is FLUENT not the optimum CFD software to perform such analysis? I have chanced upon users using softwares such as STAR-CCM+ for the solving of such models.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
