Hi,

I posted this problem before but I didn't get any suggestion. I decided to post it again with a simple scheme maybe someone could help me.

I want to simulate the problem described in the figure by using multiphase model.
I don't know how to set up the problem, particularly the BC.

have you any idea about that?

Thanks in advance.

Do you not have any outlet in you problem? And Why multiphase if you are only using air

HI Zaktatir,
yes, without outlet.
Multiphase, because later I want to use solid particles instead air .
the simulation is very short in time, I mean the physical time is less than 0.2 millisecond.

You said instead of air! That means in your final simulation how many fluids or media are present in your domain.

Do you know the velocity of the entrance area or that will be atmospheric conditions at the entrance level?

In the final simulation the vessel is filled with solid (with a known porosity).

at the inlet, I know that the compressible gas at temperature of 2500k, and pressure of 7.4 MPa, enters into the domain with velocity equals to 45 m/s.

I think first of all you need to concentrate your self on getting stable setup for your air simulation: that will be though since there's no physical outlet in your domain. By the way do you expect reversal flow at the inlet? I think that it will come to that anyway.

That's suggestion a pressure inlet at the inlet or modified pressure outlet with the inlet specification as backflow input

Yes, first I will do the "with air" simulation.
for the inlet, I have two choicesressure inlet or mass flow inlet.
if I choose the pressure inlet I would have reversal flow at the inlet. but I don't know how set up the inlet pressure .

sorry, but what do you mean be"modified pressure outlet with the inlet specification as backflow input"?

Hey guys,

I am also trying to simulate filling of air into chamber with some air. Did you get answers for your simulation. I have a varying inlet mass and pressure. How do I initialize?
