Axisymmetric swirl set up

Hi Guys,

I want to ask something.

I'm modelling a time-dependent simulation of a vessel.
This vessel is used to store hot water, with one inlet at the middle, and one outlet at the bottom. the flow will goes to the bottom due to the buoyancy..

It was supposed to be 3D model, but to save time, some modification were made to the model, and I'm doing it in 2D axisymmetric.
The problem is, result shows that in the 3D there seems to be some mixing (swirl in both y plane and z plane). and in 2D, there are only swirl for the y plane.

That's why now I'm doing it with 2D axisymmetric swirl, k-e rng model. But even when I do this, i cannot found any swirl in the monitor residual, and the flow does not seem different with 2D axisymmetric.

Therefore, I want to ask. What are the important things to be noted when making a set up with 2D axisymmetric swirl flow?

Pleaseeee help me.. Thanks a lot.
