Hi friends,

I wish to carry out calculation for a transient flow problem using Ansys fluent.
The flow field should be initialized. For my case, the initial values of flow variables such as density, pressure and velocity vary with location, i.e. rho=rho(x, y), p=p(x,y), etc.
How can I specify such an initial condition in fluent?
Is it possible to use the patch or user defined function (UDF) features to get such an initial flow field for some complex problem?

Thanks

Do some steady state analysis first and interpolate it with Transient analysis.
