Hi friends

I am using Non-equilibrium Porous media model in Ansys Fluent 14.5, After clicking the option solid cell zone that overlaps ( spatially coincident) with the porous fluid zone. but I am getting trouble to solution intilization,

getting warning message "Flow boundary zone 10 is adjacent to a solid
zone (4). This problem MUST be fixed before solution can proceed!"

getting error message "2-4 pair has some non-overlapping cells"

I feel that there may be problem in defining my boundary condition for Non-equilibrium Porous media model. If anyone have idea kindly help me.

Yes, it's wrong assignment of boundary condition (b.c.) on your geometry.
Consider cylindrical hole in the solid brick.
Assume one end of hole is an inlet, the other is an outlet.
But imagine the inlet b.c. is applied not to one end of the hole, but to the one side of the brick (such mistake). This would be the case of your error - fluid (flow passing) b.c. is assigned on top of the solid region. In other words, "flow zone ... is adjacent to a solid zone".

hi,
I want to use non-thermal equilibrium model in Ansys fluent 14.5 for porous zone. but when I enable this option , I get some error like that :

"20-7 pair has some non-overlapping cells"

20 and 7 are solid and fluid zones.
how can i fix it? my geometry is a simple rectangular . i would be grateful if u guide me about that .
thanks
