Dear Fluent Users,

I am trying to model solidification in continuous casting of steel. After getting the stable flow field I am trying to include energy and solidification module in the Fluent.
But once the solidification model is on the flow field get hampered severely and I am not able to get a meaningful velocity field.
To enhance my problem further the thickness of the domain is in the range of 70mm and the mold length is 4m [actual mould is 0.8m and to avoid the effect of backflow I am considering 4m mold length].

Does anyone encountered this strange phenomenon in Solidification model?

Regards
Raghu
